THEARC Theater and Imagination Stage Announce Pilot Production for 2015 Partnership Program
Building Bridges Across the River is proud to announce a special presentation of the Inside Out Tour at THEARC in collaboration with Imagination Stage. FREE performances of Inside Out will take place at THEARC Theater April 16-18 at 10:30 AM and 11:45 AM each day. These productions will serve as a pilot for THEARC Theater’s 2015 programing schedule.
Operating with the belief that access to arts and diverse cultural activities is the essence of community development, THEARC Theater is the first state-of-the-art theater east of the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C. It was created to provide residents residing in Ward 8 with entertaining and enlightening experiences. As a part of THEARC’s mission to serve the community with affordable, high-quality arts entertainment, THEARC Theater provides annual programming under the leadership of Building Bridges Across the River (managing organization of THEARC.) This includes Black History Month, the Double Time Jazz at THEARC concert series, Intermix Theater Festival and Showtime Tuesday. Imagination Stage at THEARC will be the newest undertaking. In 2015, Imagination Stage at THEARC productions will offer $8 tickets for youth and $12 tickets for adults.
Inside Out is a production developed by Imagination Stage and Tell Tale Hearts Company (U.K.) under the direction of Kathryn Chase Bryer. The storyline follows two children who – instead of preparing for bedtime – use their imaginations to transform their room into fantastical world of play. In this interactive show, audiences will discover the joy of turning things “inside out.” Performance also includes a “free play” session, allowing show-goers to explore props from the show’s set. Inside Out is suitable for all ages, but is most appropriate for children ages 1-5.
Tickets for this show are currently available. Please click here to visit the event page.
