Filmfest DC Presents Summer Series at THEARC Theater

As a community service, the Washington, DC International Film Festival (Filmfest DC) will present "Filmfest DC at THEARC Theater," a weekend series of film festival favorites. The series will take place July 11, 12 and 14 and feature films for both adults and young people. Admission for all events is free-of-charge. This project is supported by a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

The mixed-race daughter of a Captain in the Royal Navy is raised as an aristocrat, but finds her social standing unique and becomes instrumental in the campaign to end slavery in England. Winner of the Filmfest DC 2014 Audience Award.
